A municipal water treatment plant in central Tanzania is responsible for supplying drinking water to nearby urban and rural residents. The plant is located in a remote area with no public power grid coverage, relying entirely on diesel generators for power supply. Operating modes: Off-grid operation, solar energy priority, energy storage system for peak load regulation, continuous power supply and emergency backup, diesel generator starts automatically in continuous rainy days or peak water supply periods to ensure uninterrupted water treatment and supply.
The system adopts a waterproof, dust-proof and corrosion-resistant integrated design, which can adapt to the high-humidity and dusty environment of the water treatment plant. It is equipped with an intelligent energy management platform that links with the plant’s water treatment control system, adjusting power supply according to water demand changes to optimize energy utilization. The system also has a fault self-diagnosis function, reducing maintenance workload and ensuring long-term stable operation.
Since the system was put into operation, the water treatment plant has achieved 24-hour continuous operation without interruptions caused by power outages.
